My research asks what it takes to build IoT systems that are genuinely useful and trustworthy — from embedded AI on microcontrollers and secure-by-design architectures, to cloudless platforms that keep data in users' hands, retrofit approaches for legacy infrastructure, digital twins for industrial processes, urban data platforms for smart cities, and the human question of why people resist connected technology in the first place.
